He married Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Isaac Preston of this Parish; who died at Andover 15 April 1805 aged 66'

Notes: Henry Hulton was First Commissioner of His Majesty's Customs & Excise at Boston Massachusetts tasked with collecting George III’s taxes from his American subjects at the time of the 'Boston Tea Party' in 1773. This protest escalated into the American Revolution (1765-1783). His son Thomas, changed his name to Preston, when he inherited Beeston Hall and estate in 1805 from his maternal uncle.
Another wall tablet dedicated to Henry and Elizabeth Hulton is located in the west entrance lobby of St Mary’s Church, Andover, Hampshire.

Description: Sarcophagus-shaped tablet of white marble on a dark grey slate ground. The pediment rests on a fluted cornice; below it is a bolection moulding which runs all round the sarcophagus, including the feet. The ground is supported on two white marble discs.
