Notes: 815 men of the Indian Army’s 5th Light Infantry Battalion, together with 100 of the Malay State Guides Mule Battery mutinied at Singapore on Monday 15th February 1915. HMS Cadmus crew were mobilised to assist in quelling the mutiny, which ended on Saturday 20th February. 33 British military personnel were killed during the mutiny. Subsequently, 915 mutineers were executed.
Charles Anscombe is buried in Kranji War Cemetery, Kranji, Singapore.
