Transcript
'Captain John Mainland age 27 who came by his death on his passage from Barbados to Liverpool in the Brig Regina of which he was Captain by the accidental giving way of the ridge rope of the poop of the said vessel. By the same accident John Owens the chief officer of the said vessel, brother in law of the above, the son of Moses and Elizabeth Owens, who met with his death in the 24th year of his age.'
