'In / Loving memory / of / John Cooper / Master Mariner / Who died November 29th 1897 / Aged 52 years /Thy will be done / Also Jane Hannah Henderson / his wife / who died June 1st 1919 / Aged 58 years / Her children arise up and call her blessed / Also the two sons who gave their lives in the great war / Philip Vincent / 11th batt Welsh Regt / on Sept 14th 1916 aged 25 years / Buried at Karasuli, / Macedonia / Joseph Herbert / Lost at sea / through enemy action Augt 18th 1917 Aged 31 years / Not dead but living unto Thee /Also of Helena Jennie / beloved daughter of John & Jane H Cooper / who died Augt 1st 1947 aged 64 / The Lord is my shepherd.'
