'Beneath this church / are deposited the remains of / Charles Sheldon Timins, Esq. / Commander R.N. / late of Oriel Lodge in this town / who departed this life April 13th 1838 / in the 66th year of his age. / And of Anne Stephen his wife / who departed this life on the 19th November 1863 / Aged 82 years. Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord'.
