'Erected / by / Andrew McCormack /', 'to the / Memory/ of / His Father / JOHN McCORMACK / Master Mariner / who died 25th August 1845 aged 71 years. / And his brother / ROBERT McCORMACK / Who was drowned 15th September 1859 aged 56 years. / Brother Seaman, pass not by, my shattered Hull lies here, / My Anchor`s cast, when next its weigh`d new rigg`d I shall appear / But tho` I`m shipwrecked in the tomb, my Hull thus cast away, / I only wait to know my doom until the Judgment day. / ANDREW McCORMACK / Died in Liverpool 16th June 1850 aged 41 years. / SARAH GIBSON / wife of the above John McCormack / who ?died 1st March 1870 aged 95 years. / [NB Last line eroded and text uncertain.]
