'SACRED TO THE MEMORY OF / WILLIAM GODSON ESQRE / OF THE COURT HOUSE IN THIS TOWN / SON OF RICHARD AND ANNE GODSON OF BRAILES, WARWICKSHIRE / DIED 19TH AUGUST 1822 AGED 56 YEARS / ALSO MARGARET HIS WIFE. / DAUGHTER OF JOHN AND SARAH PROBYN OF THE COURT HOUSE, / WHO DIED 12TH MARCH 1832 AGED 66 YEARS. / WILLIAM THEIR ELDEST SON, A MIDSHIPMAN ON BOARD HMS BLENHEIM / ADMIRAL SIR THOMAS TROWBRIDGE COMMANDER, / WAS IN HIS FOURTEENTH YEAR, WHEN THE SHIP WITH ALL THE CREW / WAS LOST OFF THE COAST OF MADAGASCAR. / THEIR THIRD SON DIED AT THE BIRTH / HARRIET AND JANE DIED IN THEIR INFANCY. / JOHN AN OFFICER IN THE HONBLE E.I. COMPANY`S SERVICE, DIED AT SEA / ON BOARD THE MARCHIONESS OF ELY, CAPTAIN BROOK KEY, 20TH SEPTEMBER 1814. / GEORGE DIED 20TH NOVEMBER 1820 / MARY ANNE DIED 21ST FEBRUARY 1834 / AND LIES BURIED IN ST MARY LE BONE OLD CHURCHYARD LONDON.'
