'SACRED TO THE MEMORY 0F / OSWALD YOUNGHUSBAND ESQR. / FORMERLY OF ROSS IN THIS PARISH / WHO DIED 9TH JUNE 1828 AGED 58 YEARS / AND OF HIS FAMILY / OSWALD YOUNGHUSBAND WHO DIED IN INFANCY 6TH APRIL 1802 / OSWALD YOUNGHUSBAND; WHO DIED 22ND APRIL 1815 AGED 8 YEARS / ROBERT YOUNGHUSBAND / WHO WAS KILLED BY A FALL FROM THE MAIN TOP SAIL YARD / ON HIS PASSAGE HOME FROM AMERICA 24TH JUNE 1830 AGED 21 YEARS / WILLIAM JOHN YOUNGHUSBAND / LATE CHIEF OFFICER OF THE EAST INDIA SHIP PROTECTOR; WHO PERISHED WITH / 170 OF THE PASSENGERS AND CREW OFF THE SANDS HEAD IN THE BAY OF BENGAL / DURING A HURRICANE ON THE 18TH OF OCTOBER 1838 AGED 33 YEARS / HE WAS A GALLANT OFFICER AND CHEERED HIS CREW TO THE LAST.'
