“Sacred / to the memory of / Rear Admiral JAMES OUGHTON / who died in Cullen / the place of his nativity / on the 9th of June 1832. / Aged 71. // Here also lie / the remains of his father and mother. / JOHN OUGHTON and MARGARET WATT / likewise natives of Cullen. / The former of whom died in 1796. / and the latter in 1811."
