Notes: Robinson Entered the Royal Navy in 1821 becoming a commander in 1838. He held command of the Channel fleet 1850-1852 and of the Baltic in 1855. Robinson was controller of the Navy 1861-1871, Lord of the Admiralty 1868-1871 and Admiral 1871. Entry in DNB.
