'HERE LIETH THE BODY / of RALPH FOREMAN of Douglas / Mariner who on the 12th May 1820 / by an accidential [sic] fall fell into the hold of the Douglas, a trader, / to Liverpool which occasioned his / premature death in a few days after / aged 44 years / also 3 children / also the remains of / ISABELLA FOREMAN alias / SHIMMIN wife of the above / RALPH FOREMAN who departed / this life on the 4th day of / April 1840 in the 61st year of her age'
