'Sacred / to the memory of / Caesar ARCHIBALD / of Douglas shipwright / formerly of Peel / who departed this life the 5th of Novr 1847 / aged 43 years / Blessed are the dead which dieth in / the Lord / also of Joseph his son who / died the 28th Febry 1842 / aged 5 months / also of Caesar / son of the above named who / died the 7th of April 1851 aged 13 years / also to the memory / of Mary ARCHIBALD alias KERMODE / loveing [sic] and beloved wife of / the above named Caesar ARCHIBALD who / departed this / life in the 3rd of Decr / 1865 aged 63 years / the languishing head is at rest / the aching and thinking is o'er / Her quiet immovable breast / is heaved by affliction no more'
