'In Loving Memory of / John CRAINE / Miner St Johns / who died 22nd April 1835 / Aged 57 years / Also FREDERICK / son of the above JOHN & CATHERINE CRAINE / He perished at sea with others / on the schooner J.W. Campbell / of Gloucester Mass. U.S. America / which was capsized in a squall and / sunk off Long Island on the 17th April 1896 / aged 39 years / Also of CATHERINE / wife of the above named JOHN CRAINE / who died 19th March 1916 / in the 89th year of her age.'
