'Interred in this tomb are the remains of / CAPTAIN JOHN QUILLIAM, RN. / 1771-1829 / When First Lieutenant on board HMS Victory / he served with Vice-Admiral Lord Nelson at the / Battle of Trafalgar 1805 / Also interred in this Stevenson family tomb is his wife / MARGARET CHRISTIAN QUILLIAM. 1770-1845 / Within Kirk Arbory Church she donated a wall plaque / that pays tribute to his memory and details his heroic / career in the Royal Navy. / This monument was conserved by / THE 1805 CLUB / and / THE MANX HERITAGE FOUNDATION / A.D. 001'
