Notes: This memorial dates from the second church to stand on this site, built in 1843 except for the medieval tower and completely demolished in 1888, It is likely to have been part of a larger memorial, in the churchyard removed from its position when the present church was built. Fitzhugh D'Este Jerningham went ashore alone on one of the Falkland Islands, when he did not return, a search party failed to find any trace of their companion.
