Notes: Originally erected in 1807 to commemorate Jane Hallmarke, aunt of Robert Harmer, who obatined the faculty for its erection, it has later additions to all four of the inscription panels, including those on the southern panel to Robert and Mary Harmer and their son Samuel Fielding Harmer, Esq., RN, died in China whilst commanding HM Steamer 'Driver', 16 April 1843 aged 48., Norfolk Record Office: Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Town Clerk's Department Catalogue Ref.
