'Sacred to the Memory / of THOMAS WESTON HOLDSWORTH, / Lieutenant in HIS MAJESTY'S Navy, / Son of ARTHUR and ELIZABETH HOLDSWORTH, / of Widdicombe, / who departed this Life the 22.d Day of October, 1802; / in the nineteenth Year of his Age.'

Details

Description: Sarcophagus-shaped tablet of white marble on a dark grey slate ground. The pediment rests on a fluted cornice; below it is a bolection moulding which runs all round the sarcophagus, including the feet. The ground is supported on two white marble discs.
