'Sacred to the Memory / of / Lieutenant James Everard / William Todd, Robert Henderson and John Boyd / Seamen of this Place; late Belonging to / His Majesty's Sloop Nimrod / Who were drowned in Belfast Lough / By the upsetting of a boat, Augst 15th 1825 / As a Tribute of Respect for / An amiable Young Man and highly meritorious officer / and for three worthy seamen / The Captain, Officers, and Ship's Company of the Nimrod / Have erected this Tablet'
