Notes: The memorial was funded by public contributions, together with those of the shipyard workers and victims’ families. It was originally placed in the middle of Donegall Square North Road and moved to present location in 1959. Two small bronze water fountains were replaced in 1994. A memorial garden, marking the centenary of the Titanic sinking, was opened on 15th April 2012 and includes five bronze plaques with the names of all 1,512 passengers and crew members who died.
