'In/Memory of / William Coopper / Son of Thos and Mary Coopper / who Departed this Life / October the 6th 1755 / Aged 17 years / Unhappy Youth imprest, thou needs must go / To serve thy King and scourge th'insulting Foe / From Parents Friends and every Joy to Part / This more than Wars dread thunder pierced thy heart / Heaven heard thy grief and brought thee a release / From hostile War to Realms of endless peace'
