'Sacred to the memory of Mary Sharp, who departed this life the 24th October 1832 aged 57 years. Also of the memory of Capt. Robert Sharp who was lost at sea on the 13th December 1844 off the coast of France aged 61 years. This stone is erected by their only surviving child Robert Cunningham Sharp'
