‘Sacred / TO THE MEMORY OF / REAR ADMIRAL THE HONOURABLE GEORGE PRYSE CAMPBELL, / SECOND SON OF / JOHN LORD CAWDOR AND THE LADY CAROLINE HOWARD, DAUGHTER OF THE EARL OF CARLISLE. / HE DIED JANUARY 12TH 1858 AGED 64 / HAVING MARRIED CHARLOTTE, SECOND DAUGHTER OF GENERAL GASCOYNE, M.P. / HIS WIDOW DEDICATED THIS TABLET TO HER EVER LOVED HUSBAND AS A MEMORIAL OF HER DEVOTED AFFECTION / Sorrow not even as others which have no hope, for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also / which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. / Thessalonians IV: 13’
