'Here rests the remains of JAMES KINGSFORD who was in the employ of His Majesty's Customs for the space of 52 years. He died at Dover, 25 March 1827, aged 88 years, also the remains of MARY, his wife who died 22 March 1796 aged 54 years. In memory also of ELIZABETH his second wife, who died 30 November 1826 aged 74 years and was buried in the churchyard of St. Mary, Dover'
