'In a vault beneath this stone / are / deposited the remains of the undermentioned children / of JAMES and MARY TEMPLE viz / JAMES died March 2nd 1825 aged 1 year / MARY ELIZABETH died October 21st 1832 aged 4 years / CLARA died March 11th 1843 aged 3 years / Also of ELIZABETH and JAMES FREDERICK who died in infancy / EMILY died March 9th 1851 aged 6 years / also of ELIZABETH the wife of JAMES TEMPLE Senr / who died on the 27th September 1853 aged 72 years. / Also of the said JAMES TEMPLE Senr / who died 30th January 1857 aged 77 years / also MARY JANE daughter of the above JAMES and MARY TEMPLE / who died August 28th 1868 aged 35 years also of the said JAMES TEMPLE / who died 26th September 1871 aged 69 years / also of MARY TEMPLE / widow of the last mentioned JAMES TEMPLE / who died August 20th 1872 aged 71 years / also of MARIA daughter of / the above named JAMES and MARY TEMPLE / who died December 4th 1891 aged 62 years / FRANCIS C M TEMPLE / wife of Captain HENRY TEMPLE R.N. fell asleep 20th November 1900 aged 85 / John XI 22 / and also HENRY TEMPLE R.N ./ died 1st March 1909 in his 97th year / husband of the above / Psalm 107 V 30 / Also to the memory of / HENRY TEMPLE who died in his passage from India / August 11th 1848 aged 22 years'
