'To the memory of Charles GRAHAME Esq. late Commander of the H.C.ship 'Bombay' who departed this life on the 3rd. October 1821, aged 50 years. This monument is erected by the senior officers of the 'Bombay' and the commanders of the fleet as a testimony of their esteem'
