'in affectionate remembrance of Thomas Postgate who died Nov. 5th 1840 Aged 63 years. Also of Anthony Wade Postgate son of the above who died on board the GEM on her passage from St Thomas's, West Indies May 20th 1856 aged 24 years. Also of William who died at Hartlepool November 13th 1857 aged 38 years. Also Jane relict of the above Thomas Postgate died Oct 16th 1869 aged 74 years. Rebecca Wade daughter of the above T.J. Postgate. Born Jan. 25th 1823. Died Sept. 27 1889.'
