'In memory of Commodore Walter Bathurst, R.N. of York Place, in this Parish, died 21st Oct. 1827, from the effect of a mortal wound received in action in command of H.M.S. Genoa, in the action in the Harbours of Navarino, in the 68th year of his age. Also of Marianne Bathurst his widow, for 50 years a most respected inhabitant of this Parish, died Feb. 27th 1858, aged 75.'
