'Sacred to the memory of John Morley who died 24 October 1865 aged 76 years. The grass withereth the flower fadeth yet the word of the Lord endureth for ever. Also in affectionate remembrance of John Cornelius son of the above aged 54 years who lost his life with 219 others in the steam ship London on her passage to Australia January 11 1866. Thy way is in the sea and thy path in the great waters and thy footsteps are not known'
