'THIS TABLET WAS ERECTED TO THE MEMORY OF / PETER BARKER ESQR / OF CHARLTON IN KENT; WHO DIED 21ST...1783 AGED 40 YEARS / CLARE BARKER/WIDOW OF THE ABOVE, LIVING A RESIDENT IN THIS PARISH, WHERE SHE DIED / UNIVERSALLY RESPECTED AND REGRETTED JANUARY 29TH 1829 AGED 73 YEARS / ALSO THEIR TWO SONS / WILLIAM BARKER ESQR / SOMETIME A CAPTAIN IN H.M. 20TH REGIMENT OF LIGHT DRAGOONS / WHO DIED AT THE HAGUE IN HOLLAND NOVEMBER 22ND 1825, AGED 43 YEARS / AND THOMAS DOBBINS BARKER ESQR / A LIEUTENANT IN THE ROYAL NAVY, WHO UNFORTUNATELY PERISHED / IN H.M.
