'This case containing the Bible and Book of Common Prayer given for the consecration of this church and bearing the inscription "The Gift of Earl Nelson Duke of Bronte to St Katherine's Chapel, Milford 1807" was placed in this church 5 July 1925 as a memorial to Sir Thomas FOLEY GCB Admiral of the White and rear admiral of the United Kingdom Obiit 1832. As captain of HMS Goliath 74 guns, he led the van at the Battle of the Nile 1 August 1798. During the enforced absence of the Rt Honble Charles Francis GREVILLE FRS the Master Builder of Milford Haven and Builder of the church, Sir Thomas Foley was present at the consecration ceremony and received the consecrating Bishop, Thomas by divine Permission Lord Bishop St Davids Oct 14 1808'
