'Sacred to the memory of Bartholomew Samuel ROWLEY Esqre. Admiral of the Blue, and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Fleet at Jamaica, who died on the 7th of October A.D. 1811, aged 47 years. This monument is erected as a tribute of affection by his widow, Arabella.' [In the churchyard] 'Beneath are interred the remains of B.S. ROWLEY Esqr., Admiral of the Blue, and Commander in Chief of His Majesty's Fleet at Jamaica, who died on the 7th. of October, A.D. MD.CCCXI, Aged 47 years'
