'Out of the deep / have I called unto / Thee O Lord. / Lord hear/my voice / (Psalm 130:2)', 'And beginning to sink Peter cried saying Lord save me and / immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him (St Matthew 14: 30-31)', 'To the glory of God and in memory of / William Adams Jukes R.N. eldest son / of Augustus Jukes Esq. of St Catherines.' [Tablet] 'In memory of / Sub: Lieutenant William A. Jukes, R:N: aged 22 years, / late of Her Majesty's Ship Ariadne / who was drowned at sea, on the eighth of March 1872, / with nine others of a boats crew, in a gallant attempt / to save the life of a shipmate who had fallen overboard. / This window is erected by his Brother Officers, to /record their deep regret at his loss, and warm admiration of his heroic conduct'
