'Sacred to the memory of Sir Henry Edwyn Stanhope Bart. Admiral of the Blue Squadron of His Majesty's fleet who departed this life on the 20th day of December 1814 in the 60th year of his age. He was a fond and affectionate husband and a sincere friend, his loss is deeply lamented by all who knew him'
