'Sacred to the Memory of / Dorothea Elizabeth, daughter of / Captain Joseph Ellison Royal Hospital of Greenwich / who departed this life March 21st 1810 aged 21 years / The piety and resignation with which / she endured a long and painful / illness was truly exemplary / and the comfort she expressed / of the assurance of enjoying a / Blessed immortality alone consoled / her afflicted parents for the irreparable / loss they have sustained / Also Captain Joseph Ellison RN / who departed this life Oct the first 1816 / in the 64th year of his age.'
