Notes: The Goodwin Sands is a sandbank around four miles offshore near Ramsgate, Kent. The ‘Trephina' was an British ship, wrecked with the loss of all but one crew member. The gravestone sighted 2003, behind Deal Maritime Museum where it had been taken for safekeeping.
