Notes: This lamented officer served his King and country 43 years in every quarter of the globe with distinguished honour and credit. Was at the capture of St. Eustatia in 1781; the naval action off the Chesapeake; in those under Lord Rodney on the 9th and 12th of April 1782, was at the capture of Martinique Guadeloupe and St.Lucie and at the reduction of the Mauritius had the honour of being nominated to the command of a brigade.
