'[He]re under is deposited the body of FAITH NOBLE, / [wif]e of CAPTn ROBERT NOBLE of this Parish. She was a [vir]tuous wife, a / sincere Friend, and a kind Relation, / ...died much regretted the 9th day of February 1764, / Aged 64 Years, / Here also lieth the Body of the above said / [RO]BERT NOBLE who was Commander of one of the / ...t ships for the Navy above 30 years, & esteemed / of the first and best of his Profession, He died / [univ]ersally respected the 24th day of October 1771 / Aged 83 years. / [wh]ere Faith and Hope, ioin Hand in Hand, / Though buried in the Grave / ... through Faith we hope again to Rise, / Our precious Souls to Save'
