'Thomas Roots Jarvis / Second son of John Jarvis / (Harbour Road) who was drowned / by stranding of the ship Dessert [sic] / Flower of Liverpool on the Long Bank / off Wexford on the 4th March 1864 / aged 38 years. / "He sunk no human power his life could save / No hand could snatch him from his watery grave / a grave indeed he little thought to find / when England and his friends, he left behind" / Also the above named John Jarvis / who died January 26th 1867 / aged 74 years / [rest illegible]'
