'Sacred to the Memory of / LIEUTT WILLIAM WILSON, R.N. / MR F.G. BEDFORD, MIDSHIPMAN, / The Sergeant of Marines and nine Seamen, late of / H.M.S. BLOSSOM, who died of Yellow Fever in the / month of August 1830, and were interred at Goffs Kay. / This tablet is erected by Captn Owen and the / Officers of the Ship, / as a tribute of affection and esteem. Be ye therefore ready also, for the Son of Man cometh at / an hour when ye think not. Luke XII. 40.'
