'Sacred to the Memory of / WILLIAM BAKER / Chief Officer of the Lady Jane Dundas East Indiaman / Only Son of HARRY and KITTY BAKER of this Place / who perished in the 32d year of his Age, on board that ship / which was lost together with the Jane Duchess of Gordon, Calcutta and Bengal, and all on board, / In a tremendous storm on her passage to England, / in March 1809 / Sincerely lamented by his Relatives and Friends'
