'To the Glory of God and in affectionate memory of Phillip Marriott 21 May 1874-6 Nov 1891. Lost at sea lat 50 45' South 153 31' East. This chancel screen is erected by his sorrowing parents Wm Kenaz and Maria Marriott as the witness of a great trouble made bearable by a greater hope."If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea. Even there shall thy hand lead me and thy right hand shall hold me" Psalm 139.9.10'
