'In loving memory of CAPT. JOHN TAMLYN who sailed from Cardiff 24th November 1871 bound for Callao in command of the ship CLEORA and was lost at sea aged 41 years. Also his wife ELIZABETH TAMLYN died 13 May 1917, aged 83 years. Also of JOHN their son and devoted husband of MARY E. TAMLYN died 17 June 1936, aged 74. Also his beloved wife Mary Elizabeth TAMLYN, died 24th November 1942, aged 81 years. And their daughter ISA ELIZABETH TAMLYN, died 27 September 1969, aged 77 years. And their dear friend and companion ELSIE COLDRIDGE WOOLWAY 1889-1978'
