'IMPLACABLE' / ONLY SON OF THE RECTOR OF THIS PARISH / WHO ENTERED INTO REST AT MALTA OCTOBER 20th 1905 / AGED 21 YEARS /'So he bringeth them unto the haven where they would be' / ERECTED BY THE CHOIR, CONGREGATION AND SCHOLARS' Brass plaque: 'THE ABOVE MEMORIAL WAS ORIGINALLY / ERECTED IN ST. JAMES' CHURCH, GEORGE / STREET, MANCHESTER, BUT UPON THE / DEMOLITION OF THAT CHURCH IN 1931 / THE MEMORIAL WAS RE-ERECTED / IN THIS PLACE.'
