Also of Richard Treeve son of the above who died Oct 23rd 1847 aged 21 years. Also of Henry Wright son of the above who was drowned with five others by the loss of the Brig ICARUS on the coast of Spain, Feb 4th 1855 aged 19 years. This stone erected by J H Wright sole surviving son as a tribute to his affection'

Notes: 'The Times' Sat Feb 17th 1855 page 9 'Ship News CADIZ Feb 6th. The Icarus of Liverpool from Cardiff for Gibraltar was driven on shore during a severe gale at SSW on the night of the 4th inst. Master and 3 men saved. Master's wife and five men drowned. The gale continues with a tremendous sea running and it is feared both vessel and cargo will be totally lost.' Sarah Durham Shillinglaw obt. 10 March 1857 aged 24. Patrick drowned on passage between New Orleans and Bragas [?] Santiago in Texas Sept. 1858 aged 31.
