'Here lies the body of Horatio Wooldridge John YOUNGE Esq a burgess of Shrewsbury, late of Her Majesty's frigate 'North Star' who departed this life 3rd January 1843. A young man of great talent. This stone is erected to his memory by a sorrowing mother. Also in this grave are deposited the remains of his mother Mary Ann widow of Colonel Henry YOUNGE formerly of the 18th light dragoons. She departed this life on the 23rd of September 1843'
