Richards Holford Esq. and Anna his wife / who departed this life the 17th day of March / 1701 aged one year & 3 months. / This Monument placed here by ye / Sd. Anna ye disconsolate widow / in Memory of her late deare / husband and Sonn.'

[North side] ' This stone records the gallant hero's name / whose youthful bosom glow'd with virtue's flame / A nation heard with tears his mournful doom / the flower of Valour wither'd in its bloom.'
