Description: 'It is in the early decorated style of architecture, sculptured in Caen stone, and placed upon a ground of polished black marble. It consists of a moulded base, supported by foliate bosses with pinnacles either side on each side of the tablet, bearing in relief the arms of the deceased. Messrs, Shelton and Son of York are the sculptors.' Builder. The Royal arms above the inscription. Description: Four light window, part of a scheme in the cloisters based on the church's year. The windows depict St Leo, St Alphege, St George and St Anselm (whose feast days all fall in April on the 11,19, 21 and 23 respectively). St Anselm holds a ship, St Alphege has viking ships in the background and St George has Dover Castle shown behind the figure. The third light has the badge of the Navy League at the top flanked by ships. The commemorative inscriptions in the lower part of the windows are on rectangular panes, superimposed on diamonds, each painted with two entwined dolphins. Between them is a cartouche depicting a galleon with the date 1588 and another with a cruiser and the date 1916.
