Service stationed at Durgan, aged 57 also 3 of his sons, / Henry aged 22 / Thomas aged 16 / Stephen aged 13 / Ellen daughter of George and Grace RETALLIC of Durgan, aged 13 / THE LORD ON HIGH IS MIGHTIER THAN THE NOISE OF MANY WATERS, / YEA THAN THE MIGHTY WAVES OF THE SEA. 'Sacred to the memory of Mark Milbanke, Admiral of the White, third son of Sir Ralph Milbanke Bart, of Halnaby in Yorkshire, who departed this life June 10th 1805, in the 82nd year of his age, of this long unblemished life, upwards of 70 years he devoted to the service of his country in the Royal Navy. Exchange brave Milbanke now thy labours cease / the deck of duty for the cell of peace / here awful rest thy hallow'd ashes claim/while tender filial tear embalm thy name, / Twas thy first wish through all thy lengthened days / To merit honour yet to shrink from praise/then let fond grief no boastful pride assume/But grace with dutious love thy modest tomb'
