'Sacred to the Memory of Lieutenant J Warlow, grandson of the late Thomas Picton of Payston in this parish Esq who after residence of eight years in the East Indies where he served in the army of a native prince with honour and credit retired to England for his health and entered the British Navy. His profession called him to the West Indies where he soon fell a sacrifice to Yellow Fever on 28 Janry 1827'
