Notes: T.C. Lapworth was apprenticed in 1853, serving on the 'Phoenix' Liverpool from 1853-1856. Liverpool City Record Office 352 CEM 1/3/6/ Seaman's Ticket no. 98727 (Ref. BT 116/54 at Public Record Office). The ship from which he fell would have been 'Arctic Hero', destined voyage Sunderland to New York (Lloyds Register, 1857; 813).
